Rating a colleague

What to do when someone asks you for a manager or peer rating.

How it works

A rating request appears on your dashboard. You answer the same scenario questions as the person did, but about them: choose the response closest to what you have actually observed them do, not what you believe they could do.

Where you claim higher levels on their behalf, describe the situation you observed. The person will not see your individual answers or your written examples: they see the scored outcome alongside their self-assessment.

Be honest. The whole value of an observed rating is where it differs from the self view: those differences drive the most useful development conversations.
